Witness

The issue I have covered, educational inequity specifically in Hawaiian schools, is one that relates to me since I was exposed to it during my childhood.  The issue itself makes me question America’s education system as a whole since we have allowed ourself to skew the system so much and create such an unfair environment to learn in.  My research has shown that the public school system is trying to make changes by introducing tougher curriculum and presenting more opportunities for higher education.  This does show that since the years I have been there, Hawaii has begun to make necessary changes, but these changes are still few and slow in making significant progress.
